Continuing with what I was saying last time about how Christianity did not overturn the ancient order of loyalties, a Roman Catholic friend of mine told me that nearly every Roman Catholic prayer office has specific prayers for one’s kinfolk. For instance, the Roman Catechism of 1563 has this to say about the Fifth Commandment: "In his instructions the pastor should chiefly emphasise the obligation of honouring all who are entitled to be called fathers, especially our natural fathers, of whom the divine Commandment particularly speaks. They are, so to say, images of the immortal God. In them we behold a picture of our own origin; from them we have received existence, them God made use of to infuse into us a soul and reason, by them we were led to the Sacraments, instructed in our religion, schooled in right conduct and holiness, and trained in civil and human knowledge." My friend reminds me that Dante Alighieri, in Inferno, reserved the ninth (lowest) circle of hell for those who betray their kin and country. "Brutus and Cassius took the lowest spots in the top of the nethermost layer of the Inferno. The only one lower than these two was the ultimate betrayer: Judas, who is called Iscariot. The ninth layer was below everything else and was considered to be worse than all other sins: theft, witchcraft, violence, lust, whore-mongering, avarice, pride, &c. The eighth circle included the diviners, swindlers, liars, sowers of discord, and the like - basically the crimes of the jews. What is the only thing worse than a jew in Dante’s understanding of sin? Betrayal of one’s own people." I surely would not want to be a race-mixing preacher before the Judgment Seat of Christ.

But sometimes the loony leftists catch Wilson with his pants down, and that’s when it really gets funny because he’s such an artful dodger. For example, when one of them protests his suggestion that Jesus used "a racial insult to make a point," Wilson blames "racism," whatever that is, on the disciples instead. Judeochristian pastors are pretty funny. Wilson’s friend, Tim Bayly, once admitted: "Neither the Apostle Paul nor the Holy Spirit would get past the editors of our day with this from Titus 2: ‘Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons. This testimony is true.’" He explained that the Holy Spirit had the right to say this, but no one else can ever again conclude such a thing about anyone. In other words, the Holy Spirit would be a racist if He were not the Holy Spirit. Wilson apparently agrees with this fascinating exegesis.
